New IEEE Battery Standard

The IEEE Stationary Battery Committee has approved and issued a new standard, IEEE 1657-2009, IEEE Recommended Practice for Personnel Qualifications for Installation and Maintenance of Stationary Batteries.
This standard defines the areas of recommended knowledge for installers and maintainers of stationary batteries and related systems to the extent that they affect the battery.
Mr. Ed Rafter is awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the IEEE for his outstanding contributions to the development of this standard.
