Mark Hartfiel, P.E.PrincipalMr. Hartfiel has over 18 years experience as a facilities engineer, construction project manager, and a design and test engineer. He has in-depth experience in the design and project management for the mechanical and electrical systems for several complex and critical projects. ExperienceProject manager and lead engineer for the installation and commissioning of numerous critical air conditioning systems. These systems include chilled water plants, glycol plants and direct expansion units. Mr. Hartfiel was the project manager on numerous projects including the construction and expansion of computer room facilities and the installation of a remote alarming system. Project engineering experience includes many diverse projects which include mechanical and electrical design for Uninterruptible Power supplies (UPS), generators and raised floor environments. Mr. Hartfiel has commissioned numerous UPS and generator plants and related electrical distribution equipment. Engineering studies and system evaluation of mechanical and electrical systems serving critical facilities such as Data Centers and Research Facilities. Projects includes studies for DST Systems, Inc., Lloyds Bank, Aventis, as well as projects for AT&T and Sprint. Mechanical engineering design experience includes redundant HVAC system design for UPS rooms, generator rooms and data centers. Experience also includes HVAC design for telecommunication facilities. As a facility manager Mark was responsible for critical mechanical and electrical systems at the DST Kansas City, Missouri campus. He reviewed proposed installation designs and recommended modifications to support the needs of a 100% uptime operation. Feasability Studies. Provided engineering services for design development to upgrade existing critical mechanical and electrical systems serving continuous operating facilities such as hospitals, research centers and data centers. Short Circuit Coordination Study. Performed short circuit coordination studies for several complex and critical electrical power systems. Electrical system design and evaluation.
